Just as the community you live in has its own personality, the Internet marketing company or even your team has its own way of doing things, creating a certain personality. Some communities are very tight-knit. They work together, helping to build each other up and taking care of those who need it. Other communities have more of a "live and let live philosophy". There is no right or wrong way for a community to function. As Internet marketers, we just need to join the team and or company that fit our personal philosophy.
Internet Marketing- Working Together For A Common Goal
The term "community marketing" is new to the world of Internet marketing. Community marketing means that there will be a division of labor among the team members based on the talents and professional achievements each person might bring to the organization.
Members are paid and perform tasks according to their position. There are variations in community networking as with anything. Community marketing came about as a way to offer its members professional services, giving them options in areas they need to build a business, but may not be familiar with enough to do on their own yet.
The company provides professional advertisers, marketers, and business coaches to members. Business owners can pay for professional services to promote their Internet marketing business, but must remain at their current level in pay and title until they meet the criteria needed to move on. If criteria is not maintained, the pay level will be reduced, but normally title remains intact.
There is no company requirement for everyone to have the exact same training. While various trainings may be available through the company or their group, each business owner makes his/her own choices. Members who can afford to purchase professional services to grow their business can take advantage of these services.Some business owners either may not have the time or maybe would rather not learn the different specialties necessary to achieve success. This management model would be very similar to any traditional large corporation. Your profit would be reduced by your expenses for professional services.
Experts in their field are available to do a specific job well, rather than doing many jobs with mediocrity. It remains that way throughout the company. The expense to the new person remains higher longer because they must continue to compensate all other positions.
Alternate Internet Marketing Community
Some companies may employ variations of the community marketing business model. Training might be set up so that payment for reaching milestones is included in the compensation plan. Their system of community marketing has formal Internet marketing training, marketing, promotions & advertising that is readily available so that all business owners get the same opportunity.
The training / coaching for members is formalized, created and maintained by the company itself. The members are the coaches. Members get through each training level and are only promoted after achieving certain criteria. Training is much more formal and the same for everyone. While some coaches offer additional training options, the company has a program every member is required to complete prior to moving on to the next level.
Community marketing is a life line for new members. They may come into your organization with little to no formal training on how to own and operate a home-based business. They are given an opportunity to learn in detail the business of Internet marketing and therefore experience success in a team where they may not have been successful on their own.
Internet Marketing- Growing Yourself And Your Business
The company has formal classes that must be passed with checks and balances built in so that everyone knows when members are ready for the next role assigned to them. Each new business owner will train in every management position. Certain criteria must be met prior to receiving promotions within the company. In this situation the business owner would be required to fulfill his /her position responsibilities in order to receive maximum compensation.
As the new member grows in his work from home business, he'll take on more responsibility and move into new roles. All business owners will want to spend time in each position. This is on the job training to operate their Internet business successfully. Should other members be required to fulfill the responsibilities while they are training or are inactive, then those business owners will receive the majority of the pay.
Most new business owners need a written form of training, some form of one on one or group coaching and then assignments that forces them to practice their new responsibilities. We're no different than children when it comes to "are you taking a grade on this?". If the assignment doesn't "count" and they can promote without it, they may skip it. Any activity or task that is required to build their Internet marketing business must have accountability attached. This way no matter how difficult the task or how long it takes, the business owner works on the task until it is mastered. In the long run, the business owner and the company both benefit.
